Pipes containing virtually anything can be hot tapped (including flammable products such as natural gas), but N.S. Pawliuk specializes in hot taps performed on pipe containing potable water, wastewater and light industrial chemicals such as coolant, sludge and percolate.

What sizes of outlet can be tapped off of concrete cylinder pipe?

Outlets as small as 3/4" can be hot tapped off of concrete cylinder pipe.

Generally, outlets off of concrete cylinder pipe do not exceed 80% of the size of the existing pipe. For example, a 30" outlet is not recommended to be installed on 36" CCP, because 30" is 83% of 36".
